NO GOALS
Do you find yourself wanting something more but not knowing exactly what it is you want?
That’s probably because you don’t have clear goals.
No goals is the same as a boat with out direction, it will move where ever the wind blows it, and that’s not what you want in your life.
GOALS HELP YOU FOCUS
Goals help clarify your wants and with clear goals, you take the correct actions in the direction of those goals. You focus on the most important.
For example, if your goal is to lose weight, you know you should eat less, eat healthily, and do exercise. You will take action and decisions in the direction of that goal. Probably if your deciding what to eat you will pick a salad instead of fries, or you will have a healthy snack like a fruit instead of chips.
WRITING DOWN YOUR GOAL
You should have your goals written down and you should review them regularly. You should be doing that daily, and taking daily actions with those goals in mind.
Writing your goals helps to bring them down from your mind and to take them more seriously.
Also, like when you’re on an errand and forget what you’re supposed to buy, that doesn’t happen if you have a written down list. The same with goals, if you don’t have them written down, you will forget them.
BRAINSTORMING GOALS
Today I would like you to take the following exercise. Get a notebook and a pen or open a word processor and start answering the questions below. This is a brainstorming exercise. You should end up with a big list of dreams and goals. Later you will sort them and decide which ones are the most important. Right now it is about exploring your brain and writing down all those dreams and goals.
